The Purpose of SpokIndia Tales

Spokane has shaped my identity, gifted me countless adventures, and given me a sense of purpose. Over the past two decades, I’ve grown, evolved, and celebrated milestones—both personal and professional. Giving back to this community has been my way of finding roots, belonging, and connection. Through SpokIndia Tales, I hope these stories inspire others to feel the same sense of home, hope, and pride in this city, while preserving the journeys and legacies that will guide future generations.

THE POWER OF SHOWING UP

The power of showing up—quiet, bold, and true,
In a city that shapes you, and walks with you too.
The reason for the rise is not in luck or chance,
It’s in the weary feet that still choose to dance.

You exhaust—so what? You carry the flame,
You pay the price, with no thought of fame.
For the good you do, though only a few would,
You stand where others only dream they could.

You build with heart, through doubt and delay,
Preserving the journeys that won’t fade away.
Not for applause, but for those yet to see,
You rise, you serve—you shape community.
